A Jesus shirt for men who know they are works in progress, with the carpenter's workbench and a chair mid-repair on the front and Philippians 1:6 underneath, for Sunday service, the men's Bible study, Father's Day or Christmas. The carpenter is Jesus, and the chair in the vise is the man he is still rebuilding.
The vintage engraving-style scene shows an old wooden workbench with a hand plane trailing long curls of wood, a carpenter's square, a wooden mallet and chisels on top, a worn chair clamped in the vise being mended with one new pale leg, and sawdust curls on the floor, in warm wood browns, cream and black linework with a worn finish. STILL UNDER sits above the scene, CONSTRUCTION. below it in heavy serif capitals and PHILIPPIANS 1:6 in smaller capitals under that, cream and gold on the dark shirts with a cream edge around the art, dark brown and gold-brown on the light ones.
