The story+
This owl mug is for the person who used to stay up until two and now considers nine o'clock a late night: a sleepy owl in a striped nightcap and scarf on a pine branch, and an easy Christmas morning coffee gift for a retiree, a new parent or anyone who has traded midnight for a pillow.
The print is a drowsy owl with heavy-lidded orange eyes, a striped nightcap and a red scarf, perched under a crescent moon, with NIGHT OWL, in dark brown slab capitals above and RETIRED in burnt orange below. The words are big enough to read from across the kitchen table, and the whole design sits on bright white glossy ceramic.
It matches our Night Owl, Retired hoodie, so the mug and the hoodie make a cozy set for the same person. Fill it with coffee, tea or cocoa and let the owl say what the drinker is too tired to: the late shift is over, and the bedtime is early.
